silverlake ramen

Who doesn’t love a good bowl of soup and noodles? If you’re ever in Los Angeles and is in the mood for noodles, stop by Silverlake Ramen!

Address: 2927 W Sunset Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90026

Expense: $3.50 – $16 (this range doesn’t include drinks or toppings/sides)

After going to the Museum of Love, my boyfriend and I wanted to grab lunch nearby. So we looked on Yelp and found Silverlake Ramen 4 minutes away.

He’s been there before and recommended we should go try it since I’ve never been.

For the starters, we had Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna (which was 2 pieces/order) and Crispy Chicken Karaage.

I think the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna could’ve been better, but it wasn’t bad. I’d rate it a 3.5/5. I think I’ve had better crispy rice with spicy tuna.

For the Crispy Chicken Karaage though, it was really good! We squeezed the lemon on top and it made it even better! Honestly, I don’t think you can really go wrong with karaage chicken though. I’d rate this order a 4.5/5! Nothing too special about this dish.

For our ramen, we ordered The Classic and The Blaze.

The Classic ramen has a creamy pork broth with bean sprouts, spinach, green onion, seaweed, black garlic oil, and an egg, with your choice of protein. My boyfriend ended up ordering the pork for his. Honestly, I think I liked his broth a little bit more than mine even though mine was similar.

I ordered The Blaze which has a spicy creamy pork broth and is topped with bean sprouts, spinach, green onion, seaweed, an egg, and my choice of protein–pork. I think I didn’t like mine as much because I expected it to be spicier and I think I just liked the black garlic oil taste as well.

For The Classic, I’d rate it a 4.5/5. It probably would be better spicier hehe. As for The Blaze, I’d rate it a 4/5. It was good, but would be better if it had more flavor and spiciness.

Overall, I think my first experience there was good! I’m not a big ramen fan, but I’d come back if I was ever in the area and craving soup!

Where is your go-to ramen place?
