Aren’t these the cutest? I got these from @luckysakuradesserts !

Lucky Sakura is a dessert shop that has thousand-layer cake boxes, Swiss rolls, daifukus, tanghulu, coconut puddings, savory Chinese crepes, and more!

The first time I was introduced to Lucky Sakura was on Christmas. My mom came home one day with these cute little snowmen and reindeer pastries. They were almost too cute to eat, but of course, I was curious to see what they tasted like. So I went ahead to cut one open to try and tasted the delicious salted egg yolk flavor.

I learned that these character-themed pastries change up with the season. Lucky Sakura sells individual ones in the store but I recommend calling ahead to see if they’re still available first! I remembered wanting to go get some for my boyfriend’s mom for Christmas, but they sold out.

Since Lunar New Year was two months away, I called in to see if they would have any special ones for the holiday. They said they would have tigers, money bags, and dragon characters and suggested ordering them 3 days in advance to be sure I’ll have them in time for the new year!

***Do note that some of the character-themed pastries are at different prices. When I went, the tiger and money bags were $6 each, and the dragons were $10 each!**
